Tuckpointing – A Must For Many Historical Buildings | Submit Guest Posts

Tuckpointing should be immediately carried out once the mortar joints of the building start to become really powdery when touched; this is a clear indication that the material has weakened and will continue to further weaken if not treated. The job is not going to be as simple as applying new mortar, though; masons need to determine what has caused the material to become compromised, and then make sure they are properly addressed.
